Joel & Kayla Engaged! || Lynchburg Wedding & Portrait Photographer

As I'm writing this, the sun is shining (FINALLYYYYYY), it's seriously warm outside (well, hellllllo summertime!!! I've been waiting for you all year!), and my pre-schooler is home and is napping (that NEVER happens anymore) so I started Happy Hour a little early and popped open a bottle of wine that this amazing couple gifted me.  Yes, you heard that right.. they gifted it to me!!!! These two just have the sweetest hearts ever! 

This couple had the best attitudes ever.  We planning on meeting up at Thunder Ridge off the Blue Ridge Parkway on Sunday afternoon, which was a beautiful day.. up until we pulled into the parking lot.  It started POURING. It was dreary and foggy and COLD.  But we took advantage of it and used that fog to our advantage and goodness did it give us some amazing photos!! Then, the sun finally came out, lit up all the fog and we got a glimpse of that stunning view!!

Barrett & Isabelle Engaged || Lynchburg Wedding Photographer

Oh goodness. I am so excited to share these!! Not only because these two are so cute, but because they are so fun!! There are some couples that I meet and laugh through the entire session! That was totally Barrett & Isabelle!!  

I was getting nervous before their engagement session because they drove up from South Carolina for their session and it had been gloomy and rainy all day.  I mean, are you surprised, it's been raining here for what seems like forever lately!!! But, thank goodness- it totally cleared up and turned into a gorgeous evening!! I headed out to Isabelle's parent's house and childhood home, where their wedding is going to be held and was in awe of the gorgeous view!!

We were supposed to do this engagement a few weeks ago, but the never-ending rain had us rescheduling last minute, and oh we are SO glad that we did!! Alec & Ashley met me last Saturday morning at the beautiful Sweet Briar College and we had so much fun! And goodness you guys- there was SUNSHINE! The sun, this couple- it was seriously magical!! They are getting married out at The Trivium Estate in Forest, VA in July and I cannot wait!! Now, if only you the sun would come back out and STAY out! It'd be amazing!!
