Lynchburg Family Photographer || The Bell Family

I don't always photograph families, which is one of the reasons I especially love this season! All the families I get to document! Especially when it's a sweet family like this one! And it's always such an honor when families come back year and year! I love seeing much the kids grow and change over the year! The Bell family is so sweet & I loved getting together with them locally here in the Lynchburg area to update their family portraits! I'm so excited to share these photos from their family session! 

Weekend Update || October Family Sessions & Weddings

It's finally starting to feel more like fall around here, and even though I loooooooove summer and all the fun that comes with it- the cooler temps and golden light sure are a photographers dream!  We had another busy fall weekend, with some family portraits, a gorgeous Trivium Estate Wedding! 

My busy weekend started with the gorgeous Bell Family. I've been getting photos of this adorable family since Mom was first pregnant, so it really is so much fun to see them again each year and how much they've grown! This year, both kids were talking my ear off and it was such a blast! 

Saturday's Trivium Estate wedding was such a blast! I always love shooting at the Trivium- and not just because it's just down the road from our new house- but because it's gorgeous there, and the staff there is SO helpful and organized! Ryan & Andrea's wedding day was no exception and their ceremony overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains was simply stunning! 

Sunday, we met up with the Smawley Family at Sweet Briar College! We worked with Kristin as our mortgage broker when we bought our house, so it really was an honor to photograph her gorgeous family! 

October is so busy for photographers, but I secretly love it too! It's always so much fun and keeps me motivated and moving!

Emerson's 5th Birthday || Lynchburg and Charlottesville Photographer

Excuse me while I'm wiping away some tears and feeling super sentimental, as we celebrated Emerson's FIFTH birthday last month! It's been a few weeks now, and I'm still emotional thinking about how much she's grown up!  I had all intention to share this post on her actual birthday, but it's the tail end of busy season, so all personal things get pushed aside! ;) 

Em was so super excited for her birthday this year, and has been counting down the days for over a month.  She's all about cartwheels, so it only seemed natural that she chose to have a gymnastics birthday party! It was so much fun seeing her there with her friends and loving each moment of attention.  

And, I can't have a birthday post without sharing some of the sweetest photos from over the last five years! *Most of these are iPhone photos* 

Thanks so much to all our friends and family that came to celebrate Emmie this year! It really means the world to me to see her loved by so many people so very well!

Lynchburg Family Photographer || The Klinger family

It's the ultimate compliment when friends ask me to document their families for them. I know how precious and fleeting these days are, and to be the one chosen to capture these moments is such an honor! I was so excited to capture the Klinger family's portraits this year! Rachel was on my hall my freshman year in college, so to have them back in Lynchburg and see our kids playing together is so surreal! 

For their family photos, we headed out to Riverside Park in Lynchburg, Virginia. I love this park year round, but during the fall, the colors are just so amazing! There are spots to do photos around every corner!
