Sierra Vista Mountain View Wedding || Central Virginia Wedding Photographer

Ben & Brooke's wedding day was so beautiful & perfect. They started out the day with mimosa's in Sierra Vista's brand new bridal suite- which is SO gorgeous! Everything about this new room is perfect! Brooke had such a gorgeous dress picked out- the layers of tulle and the amazing back on this thing!! 

These two were so cute- they had the sweetest no peek moment, where they shared letters, gifts, tears, and some hugs. They were so excited, but didn't even want to say goodbye to go back in hiding until the ceremony. All day long Ben would sneak a kiss from Brooke, without knowing anyone was looking. For portrait time, I didn't even have to direct them- they would just snuggle up and were seriously so cute! 

All week, they were calling for rain and thunderstorms on Saturday and somehow their day was PERFECT. The sun was shining, there was a little bit of a breeze, and a beautiful blue/purple sky for when we went out for sunset portraits! I am so excited to share Ben & Brooke's wedding day with you today!! 

I cannot say enough about the vendors that stepped up and made this day so perfect for this sweet couple!

Bedford Engagement Session || Ryan & Andrea

I looooove when a couple decides to do their engagement photos at a location that is super special to them! Ryan & Andrea chose to do their session at a family's property in Bedford, Virginia! And ohhh my goodness- this location was so dreamy!! A gorgeous farmhouse, some rustic barns, views of the peaks and a gorgeous pond setting for sunset! IT really was the perfect location for their engagement session!!

Mountain view Ceremony at The Glen at The Boxtree Lodge and Braeloch Wedding Venue || Vinton, VA Wedding Photographer

Looking through the trees and seeing those gorgeous mountain views, you completely forgot about the heat of the August afternoon for Jake & Casey's wedding ceremony.  The Glen is a new location at the Boxtree Lodge and the Braeloch, and goodness it's so pretty! Walking through the venue, you're greeted with the tall ceilings and the walls of windows overlooking the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains.  We were all so thankful that the rain missed the Vinton area- even though it rained in both Bedford and Lynchburg! 

It's been so much fun getting to know Casey and her family more over the last few months! I was able to document their engagement session last Fall, Casey's Bridal Portraits earlier this summer, so being there on their wedding day, I felt like a part of the family! I may have even cried during the Father/Daughter dance, but I totally blame her Mom for that one! ;)  

Thanks so much for choosing me for your special day Jake & Casey!! I am so so so happy for you guys- hope you enjoy the beaches of Grenada this week and are able to fully relax & enjoy being married!! Hooray!!

We were watching the radar closely all day, somehow Casey has the best luck of just dodging storms for photos! I'm sure she would disagree with that, considering the stress that comes along with trying to determine if it's going to rain or not- but somehow she ended up with no rain for her bridal portraits AND her wedding day! Storms were surrounding the area, and we had a last minute venue change for photos, but goodness Casey handled it all with grace! She is such a stunning bride- so excited to finally share these gorgeous bridal portraits!!

The beaches of the Outer Banks to the mountains of Central Virginia: Our Weekend Update

It's after 11am, and I'm just sitting down to write this blog! I think that perfectly explains my Monday morning! I'm doing a bit of multi-tasking today as Emerson is out of school for the week, and I'm still playing catch-up! Nothing says welcome back from vacation to the mountain of laundry, floors to be mopped, and suitcases to be unpacked! 

So, instead of doing all the back-to-work chores, I couldn't wait to share some images from this weekend We had a beautiful weekend, with some time at The Outer Banks with family, to Jake & Casey's mountain view wedding in Vinton, Virginia!
