I looooove when a couple decides to do their engagement photos at a location that is super special to them! Ryan & Andrea chose to do their session at a family's property in Bedford, Virginia! And ohhh my goodness- this location was so dreamy!! A gorgeous farmhouse, some rustic barns, views of the peaks and a gorgeous pond setting for sunset! IT really was the perfect location for their engagement session!!

We were watching the radar closely all day, somehow Casey has the best luck of just dodging storms for photos! I'm sure she would disagree with that, considering the stress that comes along with trying to determine if it's going to rain or not- but somehow she ended up with no rain for her bridal portraits AND her wedding day! Storms were surrounding the area, and we had a last minute venue change for photos, but goodness Casey handled it all with grace! She is such a stunning bride- so excited to finally share these gorgeous bridal portraits!!

The beaches of the Outer Banks to the mountains of Central Virginia: Our Weekend Update

It's after 11am, and I'm just sitting down to write this blog! I think that perfectly explains my Monday morning! I'm doing a bit of multi-tasking today as Emerson is out of school for the week, and I'm still playing catch-up! Nothing says welcome back from vacation to the mountain of laundry, floors to be mopped, and suitcases to be unpacked! 

So, instead of doing all the back-to-work chores, I couldn't wait to share some images from this weekend We had a beautiful weekend, with some time at The Outer Banks with family, to Jake & Casey's mountain view wedding in Vinton, Virginia! 

There are so many more images to come later this week- including some stunning bridal portraits of Casey!! Hooray!!

Kevin & Brittany's Sierra Vista Wedding

Oh man Kevin & Brittany's Sierra Vista wedding was so beautiful and just absolutely perfect! I was getting nervous about the weather for their outdoor wedding when in snowed in Lynchburg just a short 7 days before! But they could not have gotten better weather for their special day! 

Kevin & Brittany are such a sweet and special couple. I have really loved getting to know them both over the past few months and it was such an honor to be there with them capturing and celebrating their lives together! Sierra Vista did not disappoint in the amazing views- and goodness was that sunset so gorgeous! In fact, when we were done with a few photos of the bride and groom at sunset, they asked for a few minutes of the 2 of them together to finish watching the sun go down over the mountains. They did such a great job with their Spring, rustic barn wedding- I loved all the simplistic details of their big day! 

A HUGE thank-you to the amazing vendors that worked so hard to make this wedding such a success!!

Andrew & Allison's Wedding Day: Bedford, VA Wedding Photographer

Remember that adorable proposal I was photographed?! Well, if you thought that moment was sweet- wait until you see their wedding!! 

Andrew & Allison started off the day getting ready at her parents house surrounded by friends and family. They had THE most precious no peek, and when Andrew started praying for them and their marriage, we were all 3 in tears! They choose the most adorable little church that had such an intimate feeling- it was awesome! Their reception was at The Historic Avenel Plantation in Bedford! It truly was such a romantic spot! 

You can tell that Andrew & Allison truly have something special. She was beaming all day, and he kept reaching over and kissing her on the forehead. I am so excited for them as they begin this journey in life together!!
