When I dream of a gorgeous backyard wedding, THIS is exactly what I dream of! A backyard on a mountaintop, overlooking the entire city of Lynchburg, surrounded by gorgeous greenery, friends and family! Such a beautiful day from start to finish! Barrett & Isabelle's wedding was gorgeous! They got married at their childhood home nestled in Lynchburg, Virginia with THE most amazing views of the city that you've ever seen! 

One of the things that Isabelle loves most about Barrett is that he can always make her laugh- and goodness could you tell on their wedding day.  They were both so happy and carefree, it was such a blast!

Our Snow Weekend- A personal post || Central VA Photographer

I had some seriously excited people in my house this weekend.  Michael & Emmie have been watching & praying for snow so they were THRILLED to see a storm on the radar last week. Meanwhile, I was stressing about the wedding planned for the weekend, but that all turned out okay! ;) 

Emmie COULD NOT wait to get outside, and as soon as we bundled her up (in every single shade of hot pink that exists!! haha!) she ran outside and plopped down into the snow to make snow angels! Her and Manning chased each other around and laughed a little too hard. No, seriously, too hard- it sucks to take all those layers for a potty break! hhahahaha!

Mike & Emilee's Snow Day Elopement: Lynchburg, VA Wedding Photographer

I don't even know where to begin with this post! Mike & Emilee's wedding weekend was crazy stressful with ups and downs and a snow storm that hit the entire east coast and shut down the entire city of Lynchburg, VA.  Their Saturday wedding wasn't going to happen when their venue couldn't keep their roads cleared and couldn't have the liability of having all of their employees brave the snow.  This couple was calm and collected throughout the weekend, and even was featured on the local news! (View their story here!) 

When they realized they couldn't make their wedding happen on Saturday like planned, they decided to drive to their pastor's house (who was stuck in his driveway) and eloped in his yard.  It was such a beautiful ceremony & I loved being there to capture the images from those moments!!  

Then, Mike & Emilee had their full wedding celebration on Sunday morning with their friends and family that could make it! It was so beautiful and I can't wait to share images from their wedding day!  Stay tuned!! yay!
