Oh my goodness! I am so thrilled to be sharing photos from the Griffin Family's session! If anything makes me more excited to have this baby, it's snuggling and photographing sweet Edwin! 

It's always so special to me when I get asked back to document these amazing moments in a families life. I do not take this lightly, and it really means so much that this family has had me photograph so many life-changing moments over the past few years! It's so fun to go into their house and see so many of my photos printed on their walls, from maternity sessions, Christmas cards, extended family, and newborn. To be asked back to photograph their newest member of their family was so special!

Albuquerque, New Mexico Family and Lifestyle Photographer || Breighton's Newborn Session

Writing this, sharing these images is a complete honor and I still can't believe everything worked out for me to make it to Albuquerque to visit my Aunt & cousin Shelby just a few short days after sweet Breighton was born! I haven't been able to visit them since I was in middle school! I got tons and tons of squishy snuggles in and even got to take some precious photos of Breighton, Shelby and Corey! 

Shelby is such an inspiring Mom. She's going to school, working, and taking care of her little guy all at the same time! I loved seeing how comfortable she is as a Mom, and just how much she loves her sweet little guy! I was super tempted to bring him home with me, but instead I just insisted that they make it out to Lynchburg to visit soon!

This session holds such a special place in my heart. I first met Dave & Rachael a few years ago, when they hired me to do their engagement photos. From there, a friendship quickly formed and I was able to capture their wedding photos, their maternity photos, and now their photos as a family of three!! 

Baby Charlie is seriously a dream, and I may have spent half of their session snuggling up with him and smelling his delicious baby smell!! hah. He was such a sweet lil guy during our session, he was exhausted but goodness those sweet dreamy photos!! It is SERIOUSLY such an honor to have these families invest in my business time and time again. I love being able to celebrate all these amazing moments! 

Our Snow Weekend- A personal post || Central VA Photographer

I had some seriously excited people in my house this weekend.  Michael & Emmie have been watching & praying for snow so they were THRILLED to see a storm on the radar last week. Meanwhile, I was stressing about the wedding planned for the weekend, but that all turned out okay! ;) 

Emmie COULD NOT wait to get outside, and as soon as we bundled her up (in every single shade of hot pink that exists!! haha!) she ran outside and plopped down into the snow to make snow angels! Her and Manning chased each other around and laughed a little too hard. No, seriously, too hard- it sucks to take all those layers for a potty break! hhahahaha!

John & Shannon: Snow Day Maternity Photos || Lynchburg, Virginia Photographer

I hope you aren't tired of seeing snow pictures yet, because well, I've got a lot more coming! We don't get snow often here, and when we do, well we've got to take advantage of it. On Friday once the snow started I was so anxious to get out of the house and get some photos in the snow! Little did I know, I'd be pretty much in the snow Saturday evening for Mike & Emilee's snowy elopement, and all day Sunday for their wedding ceremony, and Macklin & Shannon's engagement session! I wouldn't trade any of it- even though I do hate the cold- I love the snow!  (well, other than getting stuck Sunday evening and needing a lot of shovels and man-power to get me unstuck! oops!) 

Friday afternoon I put out an alert on Facebook for anyone that could make it to me (regretting that decision to not buy 4wd right about now...) for a quick session in the snow! John & Shannon reached out and met me at a church right across the street from my house! They were one of my very first weddings I shot solo, and are expecting a baby boy soon! I was so excited to get some photo of them and her adorable baby bump!! It was freeeeeezing, and of course it started to sleet right when we got out there, but they were seriously troopers!!
